Syukur, pagi ini cuaca amat baik sekali berbanding 2 atau 3 hari sebelum ini. So, mulalah saya menjenguk kebun mini belakang rumah. Hati rasa sedikit sedih kerana ada anak pokok cili yang diserang penyakit. Pokok pokok cili lain pun nampak macam tidak sihat. Gara gara hujan kan.
Jadi, hari ini bermulalah aktiviti penyelenggaraan pokok pokok cili. Aktiviti ini adalah termasuk penyiraman, aktiviti pemangkasan iaitu membuang bahagian tumbuhan yang tidak dikehendaki dan berpenyakit, aktiviti merumput serta membuang daun yang telah layu dan mati. Pokok cili dalam polibeg yang berpenyakit kena lupuskan juga kerana takut berjangkit pada pokok yang lain. Aktiviti penyelenggaraan ini mengambil masa sekurang kurangnya sehari untuk selesaikan. Aktiviti penyelenggaraan ini penting untuk mencegah pokok bertambah rosak dan diserang penyakit.
Lepas siap aktiviti ni, malam nanti kalau hari tak hujan bolehlah sembur pencegah serangga n kulat. Harap harap hari tak hujanlah. Dibawah adalah keadaan pokok di kebun mini saya sebelum penyelengaraan.
Malam ini hati berasa sedih sekali bila petang tadi menjenguk pokok cili di kebun dalam keadaan yang tidak sihat. Malam semalam dah sembur pencegah serangga dan penyakit. Lepas saja menyembur, tiba-tiba pula hujan turun dengan selebat lebatnya.
Dugaan betullah musim monsun ni. Memang susah nak berkerja time ni. Apalah nasib pokok cili ku nanti ni. Sebap pagi tadi ada juga nampak anak pokok yang dah kena serangan. Tapi nak buat macam mana kan, kita dh cuba buat langkah pencegahan. Lagipun memang kita tidak boleh lari dari keadaan yang macam sekarang.
Apapun doakan sahaja agar anak pokok cili tu kuat dan dapat membesar dengan sihat. Nak jaga pokok cili ni bukan senang, kita kena jaga macam baby juga...kena sentiasa belai-belai, manja-manja, bercakap-cakap baru boleh tumbuh dengan sihat.
Kalau nak tengok inilah keadaan pokok cili saya sekarang. Sedih tak? Lepas ni kena study balik kenapa anak pokok cili saya ni pucuknya menjadi hijau muda.

KUCHING: The forthcoming Sarawak AgroFest will bring together some 300 exhibitors from different parts of Sarawak as well as from Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia.
Assistant Minister of Modernisation of Agriculture, Native Land and Regional Development Datuk Roland Sagah Wee Inn said this year’s event, themed ‘Agriculture transformation Through Smart Technology’, will see 100 more exhibitors than the 2018 edition.
He said the Sarawak AgroFest aims to provide a dynamic platform for farmers, agro entrepreneurs, agriculture suppliers and industry players to showcase their products and services as well as to enable investors to explore business and investment opportunities in Sarawak’s agriculture sector.
“Sarawak AgroFest is an important initiative under the State Agriculture Transformation Plan through modernisation and commercialisation, towards making Sarawak an agriculture hub in the region.
“Hence, Sarawak AgroFest is indeed fittingly organised to showcase the latest agriculture technology particularly smart farming technology in promoting Sarawak as the nation’s front runner in modern farming.
“This is in tandem with the Sarawak government’s digital economy policy as well as to realise our vision to make Sarawak the net exporter of food by 2030,” he told a press conference here yesterday.
Sagah said specifically, the Sarawak AgroFest 2019 will be a great avenue to showcase the latest agriculture technology, agro-food and agro-based products and services; explore trade, investment and public-private collaboration opportunities; exhibit and launch new and innovative agro products and services; explore career and entrepreneurial opportunities in agriculture sector; get exposed to the latest market trends and access, to boost market competitiveness.
He noted that among the major events and activities that will be happening at Sarawak AgroFest are Agro Agency Pavilion; AgroTrade Pavilion Exhibition; AgroTech Pavilion; Agro Fresh Garden; Sarawak Food Pavilion; Smart Farming Pavilion; Sarawak Zoo; Sarawak Aquaria; Agro Trade Talk; Anugerah Tani Jaya; Magical Garden; Agro Hackhaton; Agro Run (5km); and lucky draw, performances and competitions.
Sagah said the public, young and old, are invited to visit Sarawak AgroFest 2019 to get the latest information as well as to enjoy all the activities and programmes organised throughout the festival.
Sarawak AgroFest 2019 will be held from Nov 21 to Dec 1 at Celebration Square, Stadium Negeri, Petra Jaya, Kuching.
